Thats right! Not only am I incredibly sexy and have one of the nicest rear ends around I can cook too!
I found this recipe on budgetbyte$ but I tweaked it to make it my own and let me tell you, mine is to die for! And i use Steel Oats so it makes it that more healthy for you. During the next week I’m going to release my workout plan now that we are STILL in quarantine. Who’s ready to lose 10-15 lbs? I know I am. Most say I don’t have to but I enjoy being healthy and leaner.
So since getting sober I make it a point to eat breakfast. It’s the most important meal of the day and gets me fueled and ready to take on the day starting out right. Here’s my routine.
Wake up take medication with an 8 oz. glass of water. All the damage I did to my body while I was using for 14 years definitely took its toll on my body so now I’m making it a point to do the necessary research and develop the proper habits to reverse the damage. So far so good. I’m actually sleeping at night now. Yup I said it! Every night I have been falling asleep. It truly is a miracle. And I thank you, Jesus. You receive all the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Then I do the basics like washing up and brushing like every normal human being. Then I dash straight to the kitchen. And enjoy my homemade Raisin, Walnut, and Date Homemade Oatmeal I made the night before.
The recipe is as follows:
Prep Time: 15 minutes. Cook Time: 45 minutes. DO NOT COOK ANY LONGER. Total Time: 60 minutes
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Once the mixture is smooth, add the milk and whisk until smooth again.
- Dice the dates into small pieces but not too small. Add the raisins, walnuts, dates, apple sauce, and oats. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the oat mixture into an 8×8 or 9×9. I use a 9×7 casserole dish same difference. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes if you check out the website budgetbyte$.com you will notice it says bake until middle isn’t wet. DO NOT FOLLOW THOSE DIRECTIONS. Bake for 45 minutes ONLY. I promise you won’t regret it. The first time I made this recipe I followed the directions but added raisins and it came out very dry. It was still tasty but the second time when I took the pan out of the oven after 45 minutes I was much happier. And Viola! You just made your very own homemade oatmeal and it is to die for! Thank me later xoxo
